Job Title: Tool and Die Maker Job Location: Buford, Georgia Salary: $25.00 - $27.00 Salary Frequency: Hourly Description: The Tool and Die Maker position is responsible for the maintenance, repair and/or replacing of all tools. Supporting Production and Prototype Departments as required. Essential Functions * Performing PM (preventative maintenance) on all tools and dies * Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance performed * Repair and or replace tools and dies as needed * Welding and hand finishing of die steels * Troubleshooting on 3/D steel dies Additional Responsibilities * Perform general maintenance as needed * Provide support to the prototype department as needed * Assist Machine Operators in autonomous maintenance * Assume any other activities and responsibilities as required * Accurate and detail oriented Physical Demands and Work Environment * While performing duties of the job, the employee is occasionally required to remain stationary; move around; sit; consistently use of tools & controls, detect & position objects; reach for objects; communicate with co-workers. The employee must occasionally move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to detect items close and long distance, determine colors, recognize objects in your peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust between all of the previously mentioned. * Occasional travel when necessary. * Some work in prototype shop and on plant floor when necessary. * Will consistently work in harsh environments, ie...extreme heat & cold, dust, and noise.
