Job Title: Maintenance Manager Job Location: Toccoa, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: Oversee the purchase, installation, repair and preventive maintenance of machines, mechanical systems, buildings and other facility structures. Maintenance manager’s delegate tasks to subordinates, manage projects, manage preventive maintenance, inventory, and storage of spare parts, management of suppliers and contractors and administrative responsibilities. They may also be required to perform those tasks themselves. Manager must be familiar with economic aspects of maintenance management, including budgeting costs, negotiating contracts with vendors and hiring personnel. Manger will also perform work in installing equipment, preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance for a high-speed manufacturing facility operating 24 hours per day and seven days per week. Job Tasks: * Oversee repair or replacement of defective equipment and ensure downtime is minimized * Implement and manage Preventive and Predictive Maintenance system * Develop maintenance procedures, SOP’s, training and reporting systems * Implement and manage spare parts system and spare parts storage * Implement and manager work order system * Manage and plan major projects: Breakdown, Improvements, Replacement, and expansions * Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities * Allocate workload and manpower * Purchase equipment, parts, tools, service, etc * Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance * Manage relationships with contractors and service providers * Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities * Management of employees and relationships * Ensure health and safety policies are complied with * Ability to communicate effectively in English * Any other duties as required by the company Regulatory Requirements: * Proven experience in ensuring all health and safety policies are complied with * Proven experience as maintenance manager and/or manufacturing management * Experience in planning maintenance operations * Experience in working in a high-speed manufacturing plant operating 24 hours per day and seven days per week * Experience in planning and managing major projects * Working knowledge of machinery, equipment and facilities management * Experience in managing contractors and suppliers * Ability to keep track of and report on activity * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities Skills: * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions * Ability to read and understand equipment drawings, operation manuals, Safety Data Sheets, and other literature * Strong project management skills * Supervision and coaching skills * Good mathematics skills * Troubleshooting, Critical Thinking/ Problem-solving skills * Ability to develop procedures, SOP, and training Preferred: * BSc/BA in engineering and/or technical degree preferred Work Activities: * Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects * Performing physical activities that require considerable use and operation of equipment & tools, moving your whole body (ie...ascending/descending, working on top of equipment), moving items around, positioning one's self and materials * Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical and electronic principles * Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, and industrial trucks Physical Requirements: This position requires- * Remaining stationary for long periods of time * Moving about the building * Positioning one's self to access specific work areas * Detect items at close range * Reaching, pulling or pushing * Operating machines & tools with good dexterity * The ability to detect noises and sounds on equipment as well as equipment malfunctions are considered essential * A moderate to high degree of repetitive motions operating equipment may also be required * Wearing personal protective equipment * Working indoors in environmentally non-controlled conditions When submitting a résumé for this position, I understand that this information may be used to create a registration with the Georgia Department of Labor on Employ Georgia. #CBRH Requirements: Minimum Education: Associates degree/some college Minimum Experience: 24 Months Special Requirements: This job does not have any special requirements.
