Description:
Essential Functions: Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Setup Tech works closely with the Production staff in his/her team to maintain the required level of productivity while complying to our safety standards and adhering to the quality standards demanded by our customers. The Setup Technician ensures that machines are set up according to Production standards & ready for production runs. Primary Responsibilities: * Responsible for storage, cleanliness, and organization of equipment (production tools, automation, gauges, production supplies (clamps, hand tools, production, oil, etc.) * Responsible for changeover process on production equipment: Close of each production run end of a part number review of equipment, organizing/controlling repairs/PM (includes as well to fill out tooling cards and reporting deviations from past history runs) Pre-preparation for next product run Changeover (starts with preparation of equipment and ends when 50 parts are produced in a row without issues based on process parameters and quality requirements) * Process improvements permitted with the approval of Automation Technician * Process parameter change only with approval of Automation Technician Works to achieve the objective of meeting production schedules and delivery dates as committed to our customers Ensure efficient shift start-up procedures, all staff reporting and operating methods are being performed, and checklists are being utilized Plan and implement action plans for continuous improvement in accordance with the direction given by the Production Manager Treat all staff with dignity and respect. Monitor staff performance Ensure all TS16949/JS14000 policies are adhered to and current * Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve efficiencies, reduce scrap, downtime reduction, workplace organization, and improve quality * Adhere to environmental health and safety policies and procedures * Other duties as needed at the discretion of the Production Manager * Possess problem-solving skills * Must have ability to work with minimal supervision * Excellent interpersonal skills * Ability to demonstrate excellent work ethic and reliability Working Conditions: Physical Requirements- * Maneuvering product up to 30lbs to 50lbs with assistance * Remain in a stationary position * Operate equipment repeatedly Environmental Conditions: Work Around- * Uncontrolled temperatures: (heat/cold) production area * Controlled temperatures: offices, labs Exposure To- * Noise, Dust, Oil/Solvent Fumes Other: * May be required to remain stationary, traverse, operate equipment and detect objects, tools, or controls * Reach for product and controls * Detect closeup/distant objects, colors of objects, objects in peripheral, depth of objects, and adjust with all of the previous ***There are positions available for all shifts. Requirements:
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience: 72 Months
