Job Title: Regional Field Service Manager Job Location: Adairsville, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: POSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for traveling to distributor, dealer and customer locations to resolve customer issues that the typical service network is unable to do. Requires candidate to work unsupervised in remote locations for extended periods as necessary. JOB FUNCTIONS:* Travel to OEM's, distributors, dealers, and service yards to assist in the diagnosis and repair of Yanmar products.* Test and evaluate engine and system performance in the field as well as in our shop.* Write reports documenting customer contacts with the steps taken to resolve the issues.* Review and update Customer Relationship Database (CRM) to track dealer and customer activities.* Assist with distributor and dealer onsite training.* Assist distributors and dealers with new engine installations at OEM's.* Tear down, inspection, and diagnosis of engines and transmissions at Yanmar factory.* Assist in the inspection of returned engines and parts to identify failure mode.* Perform Product Improvement Programs (PIP's) in the field as directed.* Perform "zero hour" repairs at OEM's.* Assist in maintaining fleet of company vehicles.* Identify problem trends, summarize problem history and provide guidance on resolution. * Review failure analysis results and exercise judgment in determining if claims are warrantable. * Support Industrial, Agriculture, Construction and Utility Vehicles product lines, dealers, engine centers and distributors.* Support Yanmar dealers with parts issues.* Promote parts and service programs on an as needed basis.* Evaluate dealer performance from a parts and service prospective and provide feedback to dealer and back to Company HQ. * Support trades shows, training and dealer events as necessary.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:* High School Diploma/GED; College degree with Technical or Business Major preferred plus 5 years Field Sales experience, or equivalent work experience in the equipment industry.* Minimum five years' experience in diesel engine and transmission diagnostics and repair* Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) * Possess valid driver license and passport* Candidate reqired to travel to assist OEM's/Distributors/Dealers* Knowledge of Company products. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* Maintain valid driver's license and passport. * Remains calm and professional under pressure or stress.* Will work independently with minimal supervision.* Will work 8+ hours per day in a plant/office setting. Must be able to navigate all areas of the building and facility as needed. Required to sit, stand, walk, and reach. * May occasionally lift and move up to 20 pounds in an office, customer or similar setting. * Reqiuires candidate to be aware of surroundings and Vision acuities regarding distance, close and ability to adjust focus.* Requires candidate to travel, sometimes on very short notice.* This position is a full time and based in Adairsville, GA.
