Description:
This position will report directly to the Site Director for this facility. Within this position the HSE Manager will develop, execute and monitor a local Health & Safety program to ensure results aligned with the Employer’s goals. This program has to deliver outstanding progress in terms of H&S by creating a step change in our Safety culture. Furthermore, this person will develop, execute and monitor local programs to upgrade our assets & organization to meet Employer's sustainability roadmap expectations (Compliance vs regulations, Waste reductions, Environmental assessment…). Responsibilities: * Coordinate the “Health & Safety” network & lead local steering committee. * Enrich and follow up / local safety roadmaps. * Promote right behaviors & develop skills through specific trainings & communications. * Coordinate & perform expert audits to support and challenge plant teams. * Ensure local roadmap construction by providing support & challenging surveys & audits. * Follow actions plans & report progress with compliance, regulations, waste reductions, Environmental assessments etc.…). * Follow actions plans & trainings to improve results. * Empower the local teams to be autonomous in HSE issues. * Efficient meetings & workshops facilitations. * Deploy tools & techniques (5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, Short Interval Management, 7 Loses, ...). * Detect all opportunities to deliver outstanding results in Operations beyond Safety (Cost saving, Food Safety, Lean operations, ...). Qualifications: Bachelors Degree - Safety Engineering, Safety Management, Safety Engineering, Science or Biology degree (preferred background with a specialization in HSE). Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Industrial HSE Manager or similar position gained in the agro-food industry preferably at an International level. Position requires candidate to possess strong knowledge of Safety & Environment laws & regulations, HSE prevention audits, tools and training. Also requires experience in project management with local teams, and strong capacity to support & arbitrate between priorities. Energy & Water processes skills and competencies in CO2 Management are considered as a plus.
