Job Title: Production Manager Job Location: Homer, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: This position will report directly to the Site Director for this facility and be responsible for all functions of the Plant operations. Responsibilities: To guarantee the manufacturing of the product plus company standards, following the production schedule and with regard and compliance to all safety/ environment rules; including those relating to employees, equipment and product. Coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to insure quality and production objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner. Monitor and report overall plant performance for production and quality standards. Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment as per budget and maintenance program. Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives. Assist in the completion of special projects. To ensure all operations staff is trained on safe food handling requirements to include knowledge of GMPs and HACCP. To ensure all operations staff understands intervals in the process that may present food safety risks and understand what actions should be taken in such events. Monitor plant key performance indicators and implement preventative and/or corrective action. Prepare monthly reports of results, monthly forecasts, annual operating plan, and strategic planning in accordance with corporate format and time requirements. Manage Production Supervisor and give daily tasks.Qualifications: Bachelor degree - Mechanical Engineering degree. Five years of progressive leadership experience in relevant commercial food processing operations. Proven ability to improving plant operations and team development. Knowledge of safety and compliance with state/federal regulations. Knowledge of quality initiatives, specifically GMP and HACCP. Excellent analysis and decision making skills. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees.
