Description:
Performs advanced job task such as Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Programming and/or Statistical Process Control (SPC) Data Analysis. Supports tasks associated with Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) actions, 6 sigma projects, and equipment runoff analysis. Job Responsibilities: 1. Programs CMM machine, write programs to automate data transfer between CMM equipment and quality software. Troubleshoots and makes repairs to CMM machine. Contacts vendor and resolves software issues. 2. Performs machine capability studies, qualifies and requalifies equipment; Produces detailed rework procedures; Writes SPC database programs, maintains data collection equipment, and produces data analysis reports. 3. Performs skilled duties to support various special projects including process improvements, kaizen, six-sigma, and/or best practices. 4. Trains employees; assigns and directs work; provides feedback to supervisor regarding employee work performance; addresses complaints and resolves problems. 5. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Skills Requirements: *Qualified candidate will troubleshoot & use critical thinking skills. *Qualified candidate will monitor processes and interpret data. *Qualified candidate will have advanced computer skills. *Qualified candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. *Qualified candidate will possess good teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills. *Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location. Educational Requirements: *High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience required. * A technical degree in a related/similar field may be considered in lieu of experience. Experience Requirements: *3 years of Quality experience required. Certifications: *Six Sigma green belt certification preferred. Physical & Environmental Requirements: *Qualified candidate will lift or carry product parts, and/or other materials of various smaller sizes and weights up to 17 lbs. *Qualified candidate will perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours). *Exposure to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
