Description:
Team Lead will assist in obtaining EHS, quality, production and logistic issues that may arise while out on shop floor. This person will be responsible for doing his/her job, but also may be asked to cover for other jobs, or maneuver personnel (if Supervisor is off or not present) as deemed necessary. This person will get line ups from Supervisor regarding EHS and production issues as well as getting updates from Quality on any material 'Quality Alerts' or potential process issues regarding quality prior to the start of his/her shift. The position reports to the Production Supervisor - as part of the Production Department, and is responsible on the assigned shift for all machines assigned and works in close collaboration with all departments, the position ensures the machines are running to machine cycle time and ensure production data is recorded. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - • Manage all machines PLEX inventory tracking and on demand label creation for WIP and FG product. • Review downtime codes in PLEX (Production Film). • Review all machines hourly production tracker and other KPI boards. • Ensure operators have reviewed the Defect Catalog. • Gauge parts as required per the Quality Department. • Assist in managing the nonconforming product created during the shift (e.g. identification, segregation, release from hold). • Participate in relevant Problem Solving activities. • Answer questions about posting Quality Alerts. • Assist with production data as necessary. REQUIREMENTS - * Minimum of 2 years Production Manufacturing or Production work experience . * High School Diploma/GED • Basic computer skills and Microsoft application experience (Excel, Word) The position requires: • Good communication (both verbal and written) skills • Solid understanding of PLEX Control Panel and Inventory Tracking • Understand material movements both physically and in PLEX • Prior knowledge and experience in managing small teams • Good understanding of machine cycle times and machine operation • Good attention to detail • Background and experience in the automotive industry is necessary • Good understanding of processes, procedures and working knowledge of Employer Salary based on skills, experience and knowledge; benefits package available. Requirements:
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
