Description:

SUMMARY The Production Manager is responsible for planning and managing production to ensure that goods are produced safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and to standard. The position will be working closely with production team including Line/Shift Leaders and Line Operators. RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop health and safety procedures adherence to the federal and state laws and ensure their on-site implementation. * Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives. * Provide leadership and training to accomplish company goals and objectives. * Establish and implement standard operating procedures for production operations, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures. * Prepare and maintain production reports based on production and quality indices including production rate, yield rate, defect type/cause. ? Analyze production and quality to detect problems and lead equipment and process teams to develop countermeasures. * Manage human and material resources to meet production targets. Prepare manpower and labor levels based on forward volumes and business level. * Maintain and optimize the efficiency of production equipment and process. * Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel. * Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement. * Discipline, motivate, and train team members to expand their leadership qualities. Perform their Annual Performance Reviews. * Train and supervise line leaders and operators. Cross-train worker teams for maximum production flexibility. * Keep abreast of new technology that can be used to improve the production process. * Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems.
