Job Title: Buyer/Planner Job Location: Bainbridge, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: Experienced with ERP/MRP/WMS (3 years). • Extensive knowledge and understanding of MOQ’s Min/Max quantities, lead time, capacity and Blanket purchase orders. • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, especially excel to manipulate data in spreadsheets using tools like formulas, pivot tables, charts and VBA. • Develop and maintain a daily and weekly production schedule. • Perform purchasing and evaluate the levels of raw material for subassemblies, mechanical assemblies and piece parts based on forecasting model. • Ensure that raw material components are ordered and delivered in a timely manner. • Maintain appropriate inventory levels as set by materials management. • Maintain, reconcile and audit inventory taking actions plus documenting corrective and preventive measures to minimize variances, excess or obsolete inventory. • Expedite and follow up on purchase orders via email or phone. • Work with the engineering department members in support of new product introduction, launches and prototype production builds. • Research and resolve accounts payable and accounts receivable discrepancies regarding wrong cost, wrong quantity, missing documentation, overages, shortages, etc • May need to support Inventory and Materials Management job functions, to include but not limited to cycle counting planning, floor stock inventory replenishment, physical inventory, intra-building inventory transactions, etc. • Consistently work on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, (Bachelor’s degree preferred); supplemented by at least two (2) or more years work experience as a Buyer/Planner.
