Description:
Quality (PQC/OQC) Engineer is responsible for process quality management & outgoing inspection of finished product. Will interact w/ wide range of stakeholders, including other departments, customers & vendors to solve urgent complex problems regarding the process & outgoing quality by identifying & evaluating alternatives. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: *Select & develop measuring instruments (specification, verification).*Develop & review/revise (if needed) the inspection methods. *Identify the quality issue regarding production process. *Set up & lead the meetings w/ relevant departments including production & process to identify the cause of non-conformity & to come up with the corrective actions. *Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions for the process quality issues. *Monitor & continuously improve the process SPC. *Set up & review/revise (if needed) the appearance requirements/specifications for the semi-finished product in the production process. *Plan the outgoing inspection plan. *Conduct the outgoing inspection & publish the grade certificate. *Set up & review/revise (if needed) the appearance requirements/specifications for the finished products. *Review & suggest a revision (if needed) of outgoing inspection standards. *Conduct inspection & cause analysis regarding the outgoing quality non-conforming issues. *Plan the corrective action for the non-conformity issues & verify the effectiveness of the action. *Evaluate production process based on certification requirements. *Conduct a monthly audit on the control plan, work standard, check sheet and MES. *Conduct a non-regular audit for preparation of the customer audit or for identifying the potential quality issues. *Set up & lead the meetings w/ relevant departments to come up with the corrective action plans & check the progress. *Set up evaluation criteria regarding 4M change. *Receive the 4M change application regarding the part, process, & product. *Organize & lead the CRB (Change Review Board) committee w/ relevant departments. *Verify the TR (Technical Review). *Distribute the ECN (Engineer Change Notice). *Monitor the result of process patrol inspection results. *Monitor the result of cell disassembly inspection. *Monitor the outgoing inspection results by each lot unit. *Set up criteria for the new line/equipment certification. *Receive the new line/equipment certification application. *Organize & lead the certification evaluation committee w/ relevant departments. *Regularly check & monitor the process inspection instrument & conduct a calibration based on the instrument management standards. Qualifications: *Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering or chemistry, material, industrial, electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent required. *A minimum of 1 - 5 years of experience w/ SPC, material PPAP, production quality management, and process management in automotive manufacturing & chemical manufacturing industry required. *Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) required. In office: Must wear company-provided uniform. In production site: Must wear company-provided uniform & PPE including safety shoes, clean suit, dust mask, latex gloves, & safety glasses/safety goggles. Qualified Candidate Must: *Use frameworks/tools (e.g. SPC, 6sigma) for the process optimization & quality improvement. *Understand process capability index(Cp, Cpk, Pp, PpK) & apply various analytical methods according to the standard procedures & work instructions. *Understand MSDS(Material Safety Data Sheet). *Create & interpret process control plan based on properties of process control items under supervision. *Understand of APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning). *Create ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Report) under supervision. *Understand the process of 8D (Define the problem, Immediate containment action, Define & verify root cause, Corrective action, Mistake-proof, Process controls, Verification, Preventive action) & apply this process for QC/QA according to the standard procedures & work instructions. *Understand assessment process & the process of certifications (e.g. ISO9001, ISO26262, IATF16949, VDA6.3) & apply the standards for QC/QA according to the standard procedures & work instructions. *Understand DOE & apply various analytical methods according to the standard procedures & work instructions. *Understand 3R (Right material, Right quantity, Right position) and 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain). *Read mechanical drawings. *Create clear & easy-to-understand document about technical subject that requires instruction &/or explanation under supervision. *Solve moderately difficult problems related to quality (PQC/OQC). *Work collaboratively w/ teammates & departments to accomplish common goals & objectives. *Derive logical conclusions even in somewhat difficult situation or from limited number of options available. *Stay focused on the quality by ensuring consistency & adherence to high standards, as well as pay close attention to even the minutest details involved. *Drive to outshine, by pushing one’s limit in order to show consistent improvement. *Possess higher-order thinking skills that enable one to see both sides of the coin. * Acknowledge & drive the process/strategic change. *Treat everyone w/ respect & sensitivity to differences among individuals as a result of language/cultural background. *Consider internal/external customers & their needs. *Influence others w/in the job area through explanation of facts, policies & practice by clearly conveying information & ideas in an engaging and easy-to-understand way. All employees will be required to participate in 4 weeks of training in Georgia or Korea. Travel expenses will be company paid.
