Job Title: Production Operator (Cell Assembly, Electrode, Module/Pack, and Formation) Job Location: Commerce, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: The Production Operator works in routine, following standard procedures under supervision. He/She uses the equipment & computerized systems to produce, evaluate, package semi-finished goods of lithium-ion batteries. Responsibilities may include computer-controlled operation of multiple equipment types. Position will be first shift only for the remainder of 2020 & then rotating between first, second, & third shifts will be required. Shift differential pay will be available for 2nd & 3rd shifts. ***Interviews & pre-hire testing for selected candidates will be conducted weekly until all positions are filled. Pre-hire testing will take approximately 2 hours. Company has various tentative start dates between now & December. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Preparing the Production. 2. Production. 3. Requirements: *High School Diploma or GED required. *Must be at least 18 years of age. *Must read & understand instructions in English. *Basic computer skills required. Preferences: *Three (3) months of experience as a Production Operator in a manufacturing environment preferred. *Experience operating forklift and pallet jacks preferred. Must wear PPE including safety gear, clean suit, dust mask or respirator, latex gloves, safety glasses/safety goggles, & polyurethane protective gloves for cutting. Wear chemical protective clothing & mask to shield the effects of chemical hazards (only for the protection-required operations). Qualified candidate must: consistently & safely maneuver 50 plus pounds, climb stairs/ladders, reach, & squat, tolerate prolonged upright positions & move constantly, balance, bend, maneuver up, down, side to side, push, & pull object, & maneuver pallets weighing up to 1500 plus pounds on a motorized pallet jack. Qualified candidate must operate equipment, engage in troubleshooting & handle equipment malfunctions, conduct quality inspections, maintain safety compliance, have a positive attitude & work well with a team, contribute to team objectives/initiatives, contribute to continuous improvement of work process, work under supervision, understand First in, First out (FIFO), manage & prioritize workload, create routine documentation or basic report as required under supervision, stay focused on the quality by ensuring consistency & adherence to high standards, as well as pay close attention to even the minutest details involved, work collaboratively with other teammates & departments to accomplish common goals & objectives, take responsibility for the tasks that have been assigned, follow standard procedures, adhere to rules & regulations to ensure compliance & efficiency, & must communicate with co-workers, both verbally & in writing. Work Environment: Qualified candidate may be required to work in a Clean room environment, environments with various hot & cold temperature with ranging dew points. Candidates will be required to constantly monitor temperatures & dew points & the objects that might contain high moisture such as papers & boxes should be minimized.
