Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Establish safety management plan for new plant construction and installation of manufacturing facilities . * Providing information for Workers Compensation requests (incident investigations). * Advise, develop, and facilitate safety training to new shop floor employees and supervisors. * Identify and develop good working relationships with federal, state and local authorities (i.e., safety agencies, fire departments, etc.). * Establish and conduct health and safety procedures and process and implement ISO45001. * Develop and implement Health and Safety programs and activities for the facility to achieve, maintain and exceed compliance with relevant regulatory laws and regulations as well as comply with HMC standards and procedures. * Reinforce safe work practices with team leaders and Team Members. * Manage health and safety strategy budgets. * Work with team leaders and manufacturing engineering team & shop operation team to resolve safety issues in all areas. * Participate in investigations and root cause analysis of incidents; facilitate the completion of reports; analyze incidents to identify trends; implement corrective actions; assure lessons learned are shared and preventive actions are closed and documented. * Develop and conduct effective and appropriate health & safety training and assure compliance with regulatory training requirements. * Operate medical center; manage agreement with health service corporate and cooperate with a health service corporate. * Establish long and short-term health and safety strategy plan. Health and safety management on construction period: * Establish and operate safety management process; PTW(Permit To Work), Emergency Response Plan, High-risk work management, Operating safety committee, Safety inspection, and etc. * Coordinate and assist in the execution of new plant start up site to ensure compliance with requirements and completion on a timely basis. * Review and analysis of all production facilities to install in the plant to meet legal requirement (OHSA, etc) and HMC standards. * Operate temporary medical center, managing agreement with health service corporate. Qualifications & Preferences: * Bachelor’s degree in Safety Science or related field. * 10 years of job-related experience. * Extensive knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ANSI and EPA regulations and reporting requirements. * Experience to establish and operate EHS procedures and process based on ISO45001. * Proficient in MS Office products. * Leadership coaching skills; investigation skills. * Valid Drivers License required. Preferred: * Experience of EHS management for new plant startup PJT. * Job related experience in Automotive Industry. * Experience with establishing or using EHS IT system. * Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, problem solving and human relations skills. * Strong organizational and systems implementation. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Leadership coaching skills; investigation skills. Travel Requirement: * Domestic/International travel required.
