Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Welding plant operation and Management:* Develop the various targets the Welding plant and promotes to achieve the targets of the Welding plant and oversee development and achievement of the plant across the organization. (Targets: Number of units produced, quality index & HPV (Hour Per Vehicle), etc.).* Analyze production data and quality data, improve the issue, and write a report.* Improve inefficient work in terms of operation, such as non-production overtime at factory.* Improve the environment of the welding plant and prevent safety accidents.* Review items for supplementary investment to improve the welding plant or process and the cost and run.* Coordinate and supervise the work of operators; provide them with feedback on performance. (Including train and manage team member).* Report the progress of major tasks to a superior or expatriate coordinator.* Report to the immediate superior (or expatriate coordinator) and/or other related production lines if any product or process nonconformity is detected.* Follow the policies or procedures of company.Plant Construction and Preparation for New Model Production:* Review and manage the construction progress of the welding plant.* Performs production preparation work related to the input of new models.* Oversee inspect and manage new model project progress.* Performs events for new vehicle development, and prepare production operations (facility/employee, etc.).* Analyze production data and quality data at the beginning of production, improve the issue, stabilize, and write reports for coordinator or head of production division. * Review purchase specifications for production of new vehicle and run (Including transportation/customs clearance). Profitability Improvement:* Promotes changes in process through analyses and improve processes, seeing to the rectification of the tools used in order to optimize the manufacturing process.(HPV, Automation, Outsourcing, etc.).* Develop strategies to reduce cost and performs cost reduction activity (Labor costs, Material costs, Management costs, Energy savings, Improvement of inefficient work, etc.).* Search and support the new level of control and new methods of others.* Must communicate with employees on business.Education/Personnel/Organization Management:* Develop recruitment planning for welding plant member and performs.* Develop and implement an employee training plan.* Build a good rapport with other manufacturing units for effective communication.* Strengthen organizational power through communication among employees.* Provide guidance and assistance to technicians at a lower level.Qualifications and Preferences:* Bachelor's degree (Mechanical Engineering majors).* Minimum of 10 years of job-related experience.* Experience using Microsoft Office products or equivalent applications.*Valid drivers' license required.* Qualified candidate must have experience with external markets and current trends..* Qualified candidate must have experience in data analysis and developing proposal.Preferred:* Job experience related to the automotive industry.* Fluent in Korean.Competency Based: * Working With a Team, planning and organizing, problem solving, and communication.* Strategic thinking and mindset, commitment to transformative change, and flexibility.*Communication/Collaboration attitude with Korean companies and employees.Travel Requirement and Additional information:* Position may require occasional travel (Domestic/International travel).Compensation & Benefits:* Employer offers opportunities for growth, work flexibility, and competitive pay and benefits.* Employer offers competitive medical, vision, and dental insurance. * 401K will be applied to employees beginning in mid to late 2023.* Employer offers relocation pay for this position. *Employer requires a pre-employment drug screen.
