All Employing Units in the entertainment industry in Georgia are subject to the Georgia Department of Labor's Rules concerning Minors in entertainment. Representative of the Employer must register the Employing Unit with the Georgia Department of Labor prior to filming in Georgia. Entertainment industry employers, with some exceptions, are required to permit only registered Minors to perform.

To register an Employing Unit, the Representative of the Employing Unit, must complete the Georgia Department of Labor's application. For the application to be processed the Representative of the Employing Unit must provide all information requested by the Application and submit the Application to the Department for approval along with a one-time administrative assessment for registration of $500.00 Provided, however, if the Employing Unit only engages in industrial training films or commercial advertising production, then the administrative assessment for registration is $250.00

Please allow 2 - 5 business days for processing. Upon approval of the application by the Georgia Department of Labor, an email will be forwarded to you. The email will advise you of the approval, your portal address and an initial password. It is recommended that upon receipt you change the password.

If the Application is approved by the Department, the Department will issue a permanent Certification Number to the Employing Unit. This permanent Certification number shall be valid from the date issued. The Representative of the Employing Unit is the responsible party to maintain and update the registration information. Please be advised that should the Employing Unit be cited and the violation is such as to suspend or revoke the Certification, the Employer will be unable to employ minors, continue filming with minors until the issue is resolved.
